Hey all! I’m not new to savage raiding, though I don’t consider myself a good raider as well. I’m just someone who genuinely enjoys the fights and mechanics, and who is very mount-motivated.
I’ve mostly used SMN and a tiny bit of RDM/SCH for older tiers, and WHM for the current expansion. For Evercold, I want to try my hand out with phys ranged dps. I always read that DNC was a good one to start with, however, I found myself unable to watch out for mechanics and rather watching my procs when I tried it out. It was absolutely fun to use, but I don’t think I can dish out good enough dps for Savage content.
Curently practicing and considering MCH. I don’t find it as fun as DNC, though I do think the skill animations are very cool. The skills seem more intuitive to me as I can “expect” when the cooldown timers will come off. I did read though that it’s one of the busier ranged dps with regards to pressing buttons. Given that I’m coming from caster classes, I do have some concerns that too much button-pressing + a couple of hours of raid time may be tough.
Just hoping for some advice here! I tried BRD as well but a bit confused about the songs, though the buff mechanics will be different in Evercold so it may be worth considering as well.
