If you are buying XI for the first time, it seems like this discount will still apply after the included first 30 days, as long as you buy the game within this window. The website has more info. Also until June 9th, the Complete Edition has a 67% discount ($30 -> $10). So, if anyone is looking to join XI and is currently subscribed to XIV, you can get two months of XI for only $17. I really hope they make the combined sub discount permanent in the future, but also XI is kinda popping off right now so I guess they don't have much incentive to. I don't think we're too far away from a fourth server being closed to new players from overpopulation. For anyone interested, I've written a new player guide for XI and its 24th anniversary details and future plans. They're planning to expand the free trial later this year to no longer be time-limited, and it seems that they do plan on eventually creating a 9th main storyline sometime in the future.
