Crazy Idea for Friday, December 1 Limbus

Ok, so we've been doing limbus much faster lately, which is great. I think we can take it to another level, however, at least with the Apollyon side of things. What I propose for this Friday is an attempt to gather an entire Proto-Omega pop set in a single night. We'll need lots of people to show up with a willingness to be flexible with jobs. I figure that we'll need around 22-24 people to pull this off, and more would be better. Here's a very rough outline of what we'd be doing.

Apollyon NW
This is the 3 Kings area. We would aim to clear this with something like 3 BLM and a RDM. I know several people have done this before, they can probably offer better advice on this than I can, I've never done it BLM style.

Apollyon SE
This is the slimes, crabs, skeletons, and weapons area. It doesn't take too much to do this area if you're only going for the clear. NIN x2 (for safety, as the Corse boss charms, WAR/NIN would be ok too) + BRD + RDM + 1 or 2 other melees, hopefully including a THF. NINs need to bring daggers, WARs same, or Joyeuse for the crabs, which are 100% immune to slashing.

Apollyon SW
This is the one that starts with the fomors and ends with the elementals. NIN + BRD + RDM + Some DDs, hopefully a BLM. The elementals aren't resistant to physical damage like normal elementals, so there's no need for massive BLM support, but BLM is nice for sleepga and stun, in the absence of a WHM. WHM should be subbing DRK for the additional stun on the mimic floor (if we have a WHM that goes).

Apollyon NE
This one starts with Mandies and ends with Dhalmels. NIN + RDM + BRD + some melees, plus a BLM. BLM is nice for sleepga, as all mobs here are immune to lullaby, as well as the Gigas that is immune to melee damage (should it need to be fought).

Again, that's a very vague outline of what I'm looking for in each area. Melees should be subbing NIN, as we're going in with very light support. Don't be put off if you're not a BRD RDM or NIN, lol, all jobs are welcome, and we need quite a few bodies for this.

Anyway, sign up here I guess, so we can have an idea of how many people we have, and hopefully everyone can have an idea of what job they'll be needed as so they can gear up properly in advance. This will be at normal limbus time, 10 PM EST on Friday, December 1.
 
I think we can get all of those done with an exeption of Apollyon NE. the Gigas are realy hard to kill ._. not sure if it is posble to avoid them or not
 
They weren't too bad. You only need to kill them until one of them opens the portal. The one problem that can occur is if the melee immune one happens to be the portal opener. But even that's not too bad, because the RDM can just chainspell, convert, pop benediction chest, do it again, and the presence of a BLM there would make it even easier.

Last time we went with 9 and had all the dhalmels dead with 20 minutes left, and since it's not essential to kill the manticores for the clear, it shouldn't be an issue.
 
Then we need some skill players that have done this floor be4. I persenly havent done any of thise without a normal aliance so I cant tell u much. I'm sure when 3 BLMs and a BRD can Temenos East that this can be done also. Guess will find out friday :)

In general this idea is intresting and it wuld be so awsome if we culd pull it of so dont plan to exp or do other stuff let us do this!!!
 
I'm there, this sounds like fun. I know a lot of people want this awesome gear, so show the effort and let's do this!

Tarja/lostsoul/me/egyptian did that one easily.

Hell we almost tried manaburning citiprostawhatever.

Easily do-able.
 
Might want to have one person stay out off all of them to collect the chips.... Just a thought.
 
My schedule hasn't permitted me too much time to log on recently, but this sounds pretty interesting. I should be in my new apartment by then, but still unpacking. I can try to be there for this though.
 
I'm in if by chance a group is still looking for members by 10:30-10:45 (when i get home from work, probably closer to 10:30)

If we are to pull this of we are going to need almost all our members. And I'm sure 1 PT can w8 for u Fiko. Not like we ewer start on time lol
 
I can come PLD /WAR or /NIN
 
Maybe we can start amking PT now and what zone what PT is going to be doin so we can prepare?

ps. this "speed" Limbus is making Limbus intresting again, dont think we ewer had to turn people down on an Ultima fight. ^^b
