So im planning to play this game and would like to know how to get in touch with u guys to play on the same server.
 
I will definitely be playing, check my profile on here for my AIM name.

Supposedly there will be a beta that is expected to last 3ish month starting in september. Speculation is speculation, but a lot or semi-reputable places are reporting it.

I've heard from a few Japanese people that a beta will happen but I guess you have to apply for it? I'll get them to forward me some information on it and translate it.
 
I thought they wanted the beta to be longer than the beta FFXI had, so longer than 3 or 4 months? Although I suppose what they wanted and what they plan could be different. Not sure if they'd have the beta before 13 was out though. Would be cool if they did.

Either way I'm planning to play, at least long enough to see if I enjoy it as much as FFXI. and I'd love to beta it.

The original japanese beta pic was a fake, I haven't seen anything concrete since then.

I think the one E is calling a fake is this BG one here? Or do you mean the "Help Wanted" posting SE supposedly made? The other links are to the September speculation, which now that I'm reading it again makes me think it's just random musings.

I sent an email to a friend to look at that...

Right off the bat, it does not match what I heard initially... that does not mean what I heard was right either, but clearly there's no official word on the time period and details of the testing group.

In time, it will all come out. No rush. :p

Edit: a quick search reveals there's nothing on the JP boards that report anything newer that we don't already know. You can search for yourself by using the term FFXI ベータ (beta). クローズ　テスト = Closed Test.

Edit 2: There's more discussion on the JP MMORPG boards about AION atm, so FFXIV gets kind of buried with out any new news.
 
its probley been stated before but me(Tonks) and my Bf(Mikejones) want to know if u guys are planning on getting togher on the same server and froming a guild/linkshell.
if that is the case, we were also wondering if you guys might have some room for us and that we'll be playing w/ our current world of warcraft char names.

Tonks = Stickerz

any information about this would be greatley appriated

I hope to... but most of my nakama friends will be playing as well... I am really praying everyone plays on same server, but you know how these things work out. I think I may end up on two servers... lol.
