I'm new to final fantasy 14. I was getting VERY invested in the plot and world building and am loving the gameplay. The quest just before Coerthas where the empire kills all your friends and you have to bury the bodies yourself was DEVISTATING and got me all fired up to kill those guys.... and then... BAM back to household chores for people I've never met before? Huh? Idk if anyone else felt this way entering Coerthas, but aside from a few mentions of the primals it feels like the plot just kinda.... dissapears? The empire is no longer stalking me in every cutscene, all the villains are on vacation I guess? The main plot turns into me running up endless spiral staircases to talk to a priest who says "nuh uh can't help you ask this guy on the other side of the map without a telleport point... and then I go over there and he says the same thing "I'm not allowed to tell you crucial lore cuz like... idk I don't feel like it" "hey go prove this random guy you've never met before isn't a heretic towards our religion that you shouldn't care about and is built entirely off of inconveniencing you specifically... won't that be fun?".... no no it won't lol. What happened??? I swear if I see another spiral staircase I'm going to join the dragon cult instead I'm curious if anyone else felt this way or if I missed something?
